Photoshop practice

I've been reeeally into digital work lately and the work of loish and alicexz on deviantart if you've heard of them and every now and then their work inspires me to go a bit photoshop mad because I just love the effects you can achieve from it, but it takes a lot of hard work especially for someone who is naturally more comfortable using traditional media. Anyways heres a couple of pieces I've done recently :)

I draw faces the most

..but not on photoshop. I love drawing digitally, but its not what I'm used to or what comes naturally. I haven't drawn anything on there in a while (apart from the recent jellyfish) but today I just really felt like it and it actually turned out alright! Heres the stages I went through when creating it :)

Underwater cosmos

I went to the London Sea life Aquarium at the weekend and saw the most beautiful jellyfish, unfortunately we weren't allowed to use flash photography so all my pictures turned out a bit blurry, but I still managed to capture them. They were so pretty I just had to draw from them :)

The pros of Autumn

 Autumn is my least favourite season, mainly because I don't like the change and the way everything feels drifferent. I tend to get a bit depressed this time of year, but this year I wanted it to be different so I took my diana mini camera out and and did a sort o experimental film showing a few reasons why Autumns not that bad..

I've decided this blog is going to be an honest one and not just show my drawings I like, but also the ones I've done that I think are rubbish.

So I saw this pic the other day and loved it, knew I wanted to draw it right away, only problem is when I decided to draw it THEY ALL WENT WRONG!

The first drawing I did, I just wasn't feeling it as gave up so as you can see turned out really weird looking.

The second one, I decided I needed to loosen up so used my left hand which just made it too loose lol. However this one has potential and is definitely better than the first one! 

So my third and final attempt I was more happy with, but still I don't think it's good enough to do anything with.

One day I'll do a good illustration of this photograph because I do still love it and want to draw it in a way that I am happy with.. : )
